THE GLOW JACK O’ LANTERN EXPERIENCE October 6-29 7:00 pm-9:30 pm Lake Fairfax Park 1400 Lake Fairfax Drive Reston, Virginia 20190 The Glow features an enchanting trail of more than five thousand hand carved, illuminated pumpkins transformed into beautiful landscapes, iconic figures and larger than life structures. Family friendly jack-o-lanterns carved with your favorite movie stars, superheroes, and even some princesses come to life through the magic of talented carvers. Cost: $16 per child. $22 per adult. Arts and crafts booths, food vendors, children’s activities, and three stages of music and entertainment for all ages. Vendors will close at five; concert in Old Town Square will follow. RESTON HOLIDAY PARADE November 24 11:00 am-12:00 pm Reston Town Center 11900 Market Street Reston, Virginia 20190 Reston Town Center launches the festive season at their annual Reston Holiday Parade with Macy’s-style balloons, musicians, dancers, antique cars, characters, community groups, and much more. The parade also welcomes the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus in a horse-drawn carriage. Before the parade begins, children can pick up jingle bells along Market Street and in Fountain Square to ring in the holiday. After the parade, enjoy a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, mini-train rides, horse-drawn carriage rides, and street entertainment.
