Kennedy Center Winter Lanterns January 30, 2020 – February 2, 2020 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm Kennedy Center, 2700 F St NW, Washington, DC 20566 Enjoy cultural performances and a special display of Winter Lanterns to celebrate the Year of the Rat at the Kennedy Center. Approximately one hundred stunning lanterns crafted by Chinese artisans, including the Chinese Four Symbols and Zodiac Signs, Panda Grove, and Mushroom Garden display. Along with the beautiful lantern displays, visitors can enjoy performances and Korean cultural activities such as a drum show, creating your name tags in calligraphy, coloring traditional Korean fans, kite-flying, and mask painting. A local artist demonstrates Korean calligraphy on large scale paper, and children can join artist Julia Chon to paint and complete a paper mural artwork installation together.
