LIVE FROM THE NATION’S CAPITAL: A CAPITOL FOURTH July 4, 2017 8:00 pm-9:30 pm West lawn of the United States Capitol 1st St. and Constitution Ave., Washington, DC 20003 A Capitol Fourth is a huge concert broadcast live by PBS on the west lawn of the United States Capitol, and puts viewer’s front and center for the greatest display of fireworks anywhere in the nation. A Capitol Fourth always includes legendary Grammy Awardwinning singers, performers, and members of Armed Forces. The finale of the show always concludes with a rousing rendition of Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” complete with live cannon fire simultaneously with the fireworks.
